TERMS & BOOKING CONDITIONS
Coboat is operated by Coboat Ltd., 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom. The attention of the coworking space and sailing cruise participant is drawn to the conditions below which constitute the contract between the participant and Coboat Ltd.
Prices are in Euro and are prepared as full board accommodation, per person in a cabin with double occupancy (unless specified different in the program). If you would like to stay alone in a cabin, you need to contact us about availability and costs for single supplement.
Coboat Ltd. reserves the right to decline any person as a guest should such a person's health or mental condition or physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the trip or the rights or welfare or enjoyment of other trip passengers in the sole discretion of Coboat Ltd.
- Booking and Payment
Making a booking signifies your acceptance of the terms of Coboat’s general waiver of liability.
To make your booking: you must pay a 50% deposit for each person and each week booked, which should be forwarded to us immediately after the booking was made. Your payment of 50% of the total bill will act as a deposit and it will confirm your reservation finally.
We strongly recommend you book your ticket as early as possible to ensure your place on the desired week.
Balance must be paid to Coboat Ltd. no later than 8 weeks prior to your departure. In the event of failure to complete this transaction on time, your reserved trip will become available for general sale and we will reserve the right to retain the deposit you have paid according to our cancellation conditions. If the booking is made less than 8 weeks before departure, the whole cost must be paid at the time of booking. Travel documents will be issued approximately 14 days before departure, providing full payment has been received. In the event of late payment resulting in late delivery of documents, we accept no responsibility for the consequences thereof.
It is your responsibility to check the payment dates and ensure that your payments have been made in accordance with the payment instalment plan. Any delays in making a payment may result in your booking being cancelled by Coboat Ltd. without refund. If you are likely to be unable to make a payment on time you should contact Coboat Ltd. as soon as possible to request an extension to the relevant payment deadline. If such an extension is agreed, Coboat Ltd. will communicate this to you in writing.
If you do not make the first payment within 24 hours of receiving confirmation of the booking, the booking will be cancelled and made open to bookings from other customers.
Once you have made the first payment on time, the booking will be fixed and a contract will exist between you and Coboat Ltd..
Payment for the deposit and also final payment can be done by Paypal, Bank transfer or other payment methods described on the website.

When you make the payment by the bank transfer, to write the booking number, guests name and travel date on the description part is a must.
- Cancellation conditions and change of dates
Booking dates can be changed, provided space is available. Tickets cannot be returned, transferred or refunded.
In the event that a tour participant changes his or her travel dates a 10% service fee will be charged.
Due to the risk to have an empty space on board we will charge the following penalties.
- between 8-4 weeks before departures 40% of the total price (+ 10% service fee)
- less than 4 weeks before departure 90% of the total price (+ 10% service fee)
In case the original space could be resold be Coboat Ltd penalty will be fully refunded.
Your travel insurance policy may cover cancellation charges, please check your individual policy for details.
- Refunds
Refunds will normally be made to the booking party. Coboat Ltd. can only be responsible for refunding amounts actually received. No refunds will be made to passengers who do not board the boat or passengers who cancel after the start of the trip. We recommend the purchase of travel insurance.
- Insurances (travel, health)
Coboat Ltd. does not sell or organise individual personal insurances.
It is a condition of the booking that participants do have a proper health insurance which is covering adventurous activities such as sailing. This insurance must be presented to Coboat before boarding and participants without insurance will not be taken on board.
It is highly recommended to have additional insurance cover such as travel, accident, cancellation, luggage and trip-interruption insurance.
Coboat is under fully comprehensive and third party insurances. However, the insurance does not cover the accidents or injuries etc. that may occur on the trip.
- Sequence of itinerary, trip cancellation, trip interruption
Sequence of destinations and sites may change from the order given on the website.
Coboat Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the whole or any part of a tour at any time as a result of force majeure or for reasons outside Coboat Ltd.’s control, including but not limited to the failure of any third party to perform. Any related cancellation fees charged by a third party such as, but not limited to, airfares, other transportation fees, accomodation are the responsibility of the participant.
Coboat Ltd. may for any reason whatsoever cancel any cruise at any time for reasons of force majeure.
During the cruise should the boat sustain any breakdown in machinery, or be disabled by fire, grounding or collision disrupting the cruise itinerary for more than 48 hours, and if no substitute boat or arrangement is offered, passengers will be entitled to a refund proportional to the cruise days not operated. No further claims will be accepted.
- Force Majeure
In this Agreement “force majeure” means any cause directly attributable to acts, events, non-happenings, omissions, accidents or Acts of God beyond the reasonable control of Coboat Ltd. (including, but not limited to, strikes, lock-outs or other labor disputes, civil commotion, riots, blockade, invasion, war, fire, explosion, sabotage, storm, bad weather conditions, collision, grounding, fog, governmental act or regulation, major mechanical or electrical breakdown beyond the crew’s control and not caused by Coboat’s negligence).
We do not accept liability for any loss, damage or expense resulting from war or terrorist activities, threatened or actual, civil unrest, industrial action, weather conditions, fire, flood, drought, airport regulations and closure, unforeseen alterations to public transport schedules, rescheduling of aircraft, boats, or any type of transportation means or any other event outside our control which either delays or extends the trip arrangements.
We do not accept any responsibility for any client who contravenes any law or regulation of any of the countries visited while on the tour.
- Transfers
All necessary group or single person transfers between airports and harbours are not included throughout the trip. Coboat Ltd. does not provide or arrange land transportation.
- Not included in the Tour Rates
Passport costs, immigration fees and immigration related costs, domestic and international airfare, photography fees payable at admission sites, excess baggage, forwarding of baggage and souvenirs, alcoholic beverages and all personal expenses. Also not included are the customary tips to the crew and guides, which are left to participants' discretion.
- Travel Documents
Participants must be in possession of a valid passport (expiring not earlier than six months after the trip ends) and should obtain visas and health certificates where required. All requirements should be confirmed with appropriate government consulate or information office prior to departure. It is passenger’s responsibility to obtain any visas, passports, health certificates or other travel documentation required.
Coboat Ltd. cannot help you to obtain the correct passports, visas, or other documentation that you might need to enjoy the booking made through Coboat Ltd..
- Luggage and Clothing
Please travel as lightly as possible so as not to restrict any space in your cabin. Soft bags are more practical than hard suitcases. Sports or casual clothes are more useful. Plenty of swimwear is required and a pullover or cardigan is recommended for cool evenings. Comfortable walking shoes are suggested when ashore.
- Health requirements
Due to safety reasons it is requested that health restrictions of any kind will be advised at time of reservation. It is understood that passengers require special attention or treatment will be travelling with their escorts. The company retains the right to refuse to embark any pregnant woman beyond the 6th month of pregnancy.
It is important that you tell us about any special needs/requirements so that suitable arrangements can be made. Coboat Ltd. cannot be held responsible if you fail to tell as about special needs/requirements that may impact upon your trip. As such, we will not compensate you in these circumstances. If you need support or advice prior to booking, please contact us prior to booking using the contact details available on our website.
If you have a medical condition, mobility problem or a disability which may affect your trip, we may require a doctor’s certificate or other documentation relating to such condition, problem or disability. Please provide us with full details of any such condition, problem or disability in writing at the time of booking.
Our boat is not suitable for passengers with special needs or wheel chairs. There are no embarkation gang ways. Cabin bathrooms and stair cases are unsuitable for disabled passengers and wheel chairs.
It is a condition of booking that people have reasonable swimming abilities which means participants must be able to swim for at least 20 minutes in open water.
- Special Dietary Requirements
Every attempt to meet special dietary requirements will be made provided that such a request is put in writing at least 4 weeks prior to your trip.
- Airports and locations
In the trip itinerary on the website we announce details about the exact locations of embarkation and disembarkation as they become available.
These locations will be as close to domestic airports as possible but local land or sea transfer such as ferry but not limited to that might be necessary.
We will always announce the closest international airport within reach of our trip in our itinerary.
Local airports will be announced closer to the trip date not later than 1 week before departure.
Be advised that the final location of pick-up (usually by dingy) might be announced on short-notice just three before.
- Embark/Disembark
Check-in and boarding starts from 3 pm on your first day and will end at 9 pm. Passengers
who fail to appear at the pich-up location in time will be rejected from the trip without a refund.
Check out will be on the last day after breakfast at 9 am.
As the first and the last days are transfer days, these nights will be spent at the embark/disembark location (from Friday until Sunday early morning).
The captain may make changes to the cruise program according to the sea and weather conditions. This is for the safety and security of our guests. Sailing will not be carried out in case of winds if 6 Beaufort or more.
It is not allowed to bring drinks or alcoholic beverages on board from outside (waste and safety reasons). A selection of drinks can be purchased from the bar of the yacht between 5-9 pm at a reasonable price and bills will be paid at the end of the cruise.
- On the boat
Instructions of the boat will be given to our guests by the embarkation.
Cabins have private WC/shower, portholes and a small wardrobe. The toilets are marine type toilet with a pump or electrical.
On our boat is sufficient safety equipment on board including life jackets & lines, dingy boats and a life raft. These all meet international safety requirements.
We provide sufficient opportunities to charge your electrical gadgets.
In every cabin you will have face and body towel per person, these towels are for bath usage only and cannot be use for sun bathing, we recommend you to bring your own sun bathing towels with you for onboard.
- Sport activities
Certain water sports activities such as, but not limited to, diving will require medical exam and appropriate licenses. It is within the responsibility of the participant to fulfill those requirements.
Participation in such activities require acceptance of PADI’s general medical statement and liability form.
Activity vouchers cannot be transferred between weeks or refunded if not redeemed.
- Pets
Bringing pets are not permitted on board for several reasons. Crew is required to maintain rigid cleanliness standards for all their guests and there is a potential of allergens from animals remaining on board.
- Smoking
Smoking is not permitted to any of our passengers or members of the crew in any indoor part of the boat.
- Photos and Marketing
The passenger consents to Coboat Ltd. using images taken of the passenger during the tour for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose. The passenger grants Coboat Ltd. a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide irrevocable license to use such images for publicity and promotional purposes.
If you do not wish to be on camera/video then bring this to the attention of Coboat Ltd. by sending an email to [email protected] before the commencement of your trip. This should include the name and contact details of the person who does not wish to be photographed or videoed along with your booking reference and contact details.
- Internet
We are aware that reasonable internet access is an essential feature of our coworking experience and undertake sufficient efforts to provide internet connection.
However we cannot guarantee uninterrupted connection all times.
Certain services that are consuming excessive data volume might be restricted at all times.
Individual data volume might be limited in certain areas.
- Well behaviour policy
If, while on the trip, your behaviour poses a danger to you or those around you, causes or is likely to cause damage to people or property, breaches any local law, or causes a public nuisance Coboat Ltd. will have the right to cancel your booking without paying you any refund. This means (among other things) that your skipper could refuse to continue to work and that you could be made to leave the yacht you have booked mid-way through your booking.
We do enforce a strict no drugs policy and misuse of drugs will be reported to local authorities.
We do expect responsible drinking habits and reserve the right to limit personal alcohol consumption.
- Complaints
We welcome all your suggestions for improvements as well as your feedback on our cruise operation and on our crew.
If you are unhappy with the performance of any element of a booking made through Coboat Ltd., you must address your complaints to a member of Coboat Ltd. staff at the earliest possible opportunity. We will then attempt to find an appropriate solution. Please allow us a reasonable opportunity to rectify the problems you are experiencing. Many complaints can be rectified on the spot or will be referred to a more senior member of staff. Failure to register a complaint at this time is likely to affect your right to compensation.
In terms of any complains during the trip please note that they must be communicated to us immediately and while being on board. We are unable to follow them up and react when you have left the boat.
- Responsibilities
Coboat Ltd. is responsible for making all the arrangements for everything specified in the services and itineraries.
Coboat Ltd.’s liability and responsibility does not extend beyond the boat; any arrangements made by or for passengers either before boarding or when disembarking are at the passenger’s own risk. Coboat Ltd. does not own or control any ground transportation or hotels. As a convenience to our passengers, Coboat Ltd. may sell tickets for land excursions or arrange other services which are operated by independent contractors, but shall not be responsible in any way whatsoever for any damage, loss, injury or death arising.
Nevertheless, all of the service provided in the boat bears Coboat Ltd. guarantee and responsibility for quality service, which we provide to all of our customers with.
Coboat Ltd. will not be liable where any failure was due to (a) the acts and/or omissions of the person(s) affected; (b) the acts and/or omissions of a third party not connected with the provision of your holiday and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable; (c) unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyod our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised; or (d) an unusual event which either ourselves or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not have foreseen or avoided even with all due care.
Our liability is, in all cases save for personal injury, limited to twice the price of the trip booked. Any sum received by you from third parties will be deducted from any sum paid to you as compensation by us.
Where any claim or part of a claim (including those involving death or personal injury) concerns or is based on any travel arrangements (including the process of getting on and/or off the transport concerned) provided by any air, sea, rail or road carrier to which any international convention or regulation applies, the maximum amount of compensation Coboat Ltd. will have to pay you will be limited in accordance with such conventions.
You are obliged to assist Coboat Ltd. in recovering from any third party any sum that may compensate us for any sums we pay to you. In particular you are obliged to assign to us any rights that you may have against any other person whose acts or omissions have caused or contributed to our liability to you. You must also provide us with all the assistance we may reasonably require.
Coboat Ltd. and those associated with it are not responsible for organising activities, excursions etc. on-site. Such activities will not form part of your package arrangements. If you suffer illness or injury whilst overseas arising out of an activity that does not form part of the contractual package arrangements, we are not responsible for the provision of the excursion or activity or for anything that happens during the course of its provision by the operator.
Other than as is detailed in these booking conditions, we shall have no legal liability whatsoever to you for any loss or damage which you suffer arising directly or indirectly from any aspect of your package.
- Final Provisions
If single provisions of this general Terms and Conditions should be deemed invalid or include gaps, the effectiveness and validity of all other provisions remains unaffected. The parties agree to replace any invalid provisions with that which approximates the closest intended purpose of the invalidated provision, with regards to spirit and purpose. In the case of gaps, the parties shall agree in accordance with the spirit and purpose of the standard Terms and Conditions.
Changes or additions to these standard Terms and Conditions shall be effective only if made in writing. This also applies for the any waivers for written-form requirements. Verbal agreements will not be made and are invalid.
- Enforcement
No failure or delay by Coboat Ltd. in enforcing these terms shall prevent Coboat Ltd. enforcing them at a later date or act as a waiver of its right to do so. Similarly, partial enforcement shall not preclude further enforcement of the same, or another, term at a later date.
- Assignment
You may not transfer or assign any of your rights or obligations under these booking conditions without our prior written consent.
